Hi all !
If you try to make g talk show the current playing track on winamp 5.5 and gtalks freezes its because winamp 5.5 uses some new playlist generation method. So the simple solution is as follows. Make sure you can see the full extension of system files.
To enable this select Tools->Folder Options->View (Tab) and uncheck the hide extensions for known file types and click Ok.
Then just create a new text file in "c:\program files\winamp\" and rename it to winamp.m3u.
Thats it! Now you can open winamp and gtalk and set your currently playing tracks on gtalk!

Waiting for the December season again...
Just waiting for my exams to get over so i will be done with all my heavy subjects forever! well technically i have 3more subjects in the final semester but i am sure they wont be as heavy as the subjects that i have now. So i kinda have a feeling my college live itself is over with this sem. More over we will have college only 2 days a week!
Once the exams get over then i will get to attend all the carnatic concerts at Music adademy. Eagerly waiting for them to announce the tickets. Hopefully my dad doesnt ask me to do something else worthwhile rather than spending time with music! Fingers crossed!

I'm back!
Hi all.
I am back after a long time. I hope i keep blogging from now. Well its december again. So i am waiting for the tickets to be issued at music academy this year also. In chennai if you want to listen to not just kutcheris but also someone into good sound well maintained halls, and i need'nt mention this but still... food! then music academy is the place for you this margazhi maasam.
Also you get to watch free kutcheri's by budding artists then you can drop by music academy every day during the season during the day times and its free till the main shows start at 4 pm.
Last year turned out to be very very boring without my kutcheri friend arjun . I am sure with him around this year is going to be super fun too!
I am new to all this kutcheri and stuff . Well this is just my 3rd year since i actually started listening to proper concerts. And i owe a lot to my friend who has been very patient in explaining all the intricasies and details about the concerts.
Looking forward for a great concert this year also.

Airtel's touchy AD!
I just saw airtel's new TV AD....
Its abt two boys playing football along the line of control... I really like the theme of the song. And i heard that they got rehman to do the music for the ad! But i dont think it makes airtel any better...
What i feel is that airtel can instead concentrate in better customer support.
It takes them more than half a day for them to rectify a my broadband problem. If it takes so much time for someone like me who has pretty good knowledge on internet , computers and some basic electrical wiring , then imagine for people in big companies with less knowledge in the above mentioned areas.
And to make it worse the information put up in airtel's site is misleading. i shall write detailed information on that in my forthcoming posts...

My Day with Airtel
Today was a very bad day for me. My airtel broadband connection suddenly stopped working. And my dad had to wake me up to call the airtel people and complaint to them. Although i was lazy and sleepy i woke up and called them and i was not very happy about the fact that i had to wait for a really long time for them to pick up the phone.And to make it worse i was not actually listening to a tring tring sound, instead i was listening to even more annoying airtel ads.
Then it took quite some time for me and the customer care executive to find out that either my splitter or my modem has to be faulty.And the person on the other end was pretty convinced that the connections was not proper.
By afternoon i got confirmed that the problem was surely not with the wired connections. Then i made a complaint about the situation again and had the airtel tech support guy come here. Only then we found out it was actually a problem with the modem.
It was 4 in the evening by the time everything was rectified.
Now the new modem, beetel 220BXI , looks exactly the same as the old beetel 220 BX except for the way the data led glows(in the new modem it glows only when the transfer actually happens.)

Just Dial Services!
I still remember after about 7years how i used to find out addresses and phone numbers of what ever cinema theatres, restaurants.companies in chennai in less than a minute! Be it when we plan to go for a movie suddenly, or for reserving a table in a restaurant we plan to have dinner we always had only one number to call and find out. Yes, i am talking about just dial services .
You get phone numbers of what ever company,cinema halls,hotels,hospitals,etc in just few minutes.
To get the above mentioned inofrmation just dial 3999 9999. Its just a local call.
I believe this service is applicable for everyone in India..Atleast in big cities like chennai, bombay,calcutta,hyderabad,etc.

Music Academy concert
I attended Unni Krishnan's concert at the Music Academy and it was with no doubt an excellent concert. His notable renditions were from Thodi and a Ragam Thanam Pallavi in Bilahari.(If i am wrong somewhere please correct me!).
One wierd thing that i noticed today was that the crowd seemed less dense than what it was last year. And i have a lot of suggestions for music academy for which i will dedicate a separate post soon. Unni's concert got over at 6.45 sharp but i noticed that people actually left the premises at around 6.15 to 6.30 during the thani avarthanam . It was so rude that people actually leave in the middle of the concert. When will people realise that its such a disgrace to the accompanying artists?
As i started giving my opinion to the maami sitting besides me i got to know that the people are actually leaving so that they can still catch another kutcheri at another sabha...
